On October 7, 2000, the Ontario Government passed legislation entitled: Pre-Start Health & Safety Review (S.7 of O.Reg.851). This required that owners/employers conduct a special safety review in eight circumstances/triggers which are listed in the table of that section (click ‘reference material’ to the left for more background). HITE Engineering has in-house capabilities to perform reviews for all eight triggers. Machine guarding (with interlocked guards) is one of those triggers.
